Overview

Dawn on the Amazon specializes in tours and cruises on the upper Amazon River and its tributaries, departing from Iquitos, Peru. Study rainforest flora and fauna. Add over 200 tropical birds to your bird watching list. Watch for pink dolphins. Catch the fiercest freshwater fighters on the planet - peacock bass. Or, just get away from it all with a jungle walk in the middle of the Amazon rainforest. The Dawn on the Amazon riverboat is big enough to be comfortable and small enough to access the tributaries and lagoons where larger cruise ships cannot. The focus is on adventure, taking you to places that are off the beaten path, where a river has defined a culture and given the region a sense of place.

Dawn on the Amazon tours feature:

  • Personalized service.
  • Unique, intimate Amazon riverboats.
  • Casual elegance.
  • Focus on exploration and adventure.
  • The opportunity to follow the course of history and culture.
  • Several different river systems to explore.
  • Family atmosphere.
  • Great regional food.
  • North American hygiene.

Come join Dawn on the Amazon on an Amazon cruise the first Saturday of every month for a special Rivers to Rainforest Adventure Expedition. If you want to see towering trees and pink dolphins, if you like photography, nature, and wild places, you will want to be on board when Dawn on the Amazon III casts.

Give Dawn on the Amazon three to ten days and they'll give you a whole new story to tell.
