Eduardo Diez – Founder & CEO
In 1986, Eduardo Diez had a vision of the ideal way to see the Galapagos Islands. This vision led him to purchase two small boats in the Galapagos Islands that would offer more comfortable accommodations and better personal service than what was currently available on the Islands. Back then Quasar was only the second operator on the Islands and the product offering was met by a greatly increasing interest for this style of travel. Over the years the company gained a considerable commercial image which enabled it to continue promoting tourism in the Galapagos Islands and eventually expanded to offer mainland tours in Ecuador.

Since the company started in 1986, Dolores has been working in sales and public relations for Quasar Nautica Expeditions. Attending trade shows like the Travel Mart Latinamerica, World Travel Market, Luxury Show in Cannes and Luxury Show in Vegas, Dolores has promoted the company’s product in the Galapagos Islands worldwide.

After obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at the University of Notre Dame three years ago, Eduardo started working in the sales department of the company. Recently appointed Sales Manager, Eduardo has taken on many tasks which include account management and direct client management.
